Raised in a musically rich household, J.R. Nixon developed an exceptional ear and an intuitive understanding of both melody and harmony from an early age.

His deeply personal compositions transform lived experiences into evocative solo piano works, weaving together nostalgia, fleeting moments, daring pursuits, quiet revelations, and hope.

Lacking formal piano training, J.R. plays for anyone who cares to sit and listen — most often a visiting friend or family member.

J.R. resides in Colorado with his wife and two daughters.
